Memorial day photo shoot

On Sunday we went to over our friends Jason and Emily's house so the husbands could go see Indiana Jones and the girls stayed home and to watch the kiddos. Emily recently purchased a really nice digital camera and wanted to practice on the clark children. The best are candid and you see Kendric does not care that his shorts have fallen down and he just keeps going and going... Thank you so much Emily I love them and look forward to seeing more of your professional picture taking.

We have a walker our hands

Wow!! Where has time gone. Cadence is getting so big. She has finally figured out how to hold on to something and walk. I had no idea she could do this. We were at our good friends Emily and Jason's house and she grabbed on and went for it. Good job baby girl.

The temptation

When we were on the farm this past weekend(memorial day) they had about 8 kittens. The white ones were by far our favorite. Kendric adored the kittens. He kept picking them up and chasing them all around. Ryan kept looking at each other and deciding weather were adding a new member of the family. My thinking was, hmmm.... Just got out of the baby stage with Cadence and do not want to raise another baby and potty train one. No way!!! Someday Kendric... maybe... although they were mighty cuddling and really hard to put down. They look so cute both cuddled up to each other.
When we came outside to leave, we had a surprise in our stroller, I guess they wanted to come home, sorry kitties..... not now.

Visit to Milian

It was that time of year to take our once a year trip to a tiny town called Milian, to visit Ryan's grandparents on the farm he grew up on. We also have a great time and it is always such a time we cherish because we never know if it will be our last. Grandad is 90. There is so much sptace to run around in and we do not have to say"Not for Kendrics touch" or "stay over here."

Cadence tried to enjoy herself. but it is hard when she cannot get down and crawl. Poor gal, almost time big girl. you will be walking soon. She enjoyed hanging out in the stroller though. What a life!!

Kendric has become obessed with pianos(which he calls them Kianos). granny and grandad have a organ and he went to town on it. We were being seranaded by the lovely music,but we can only take so much. Sorry Kendric. Of course Cadence needs to do(at least try to do) what Kendric does, but gets frustrated when she can't. Soon baby girl!!!

Is this the new potting training technique?

So, Ryan and I have this dream that Kendric will be pottytrained before he is 4. We have been bribing him with everything. So we told him that everytime he goes potty he gets a matchbox car. Well, that is not working either. Will our dream ever come true? The other day he came out of the bathroom and had his potty on his head. We got a smaller seat so he would not sink, but apparently he likes it as a hat. Hmmmm!!!!

Wheeeeeee!!!!!!

This morning I took all the kiddos outside to play.(which they wanted to come in after such a short few minutes.) not sure why, but I put Cadence in the swing and she loved it, she got mad when I took her out,yet she was trying to climb out, I have a little dare devil on my hands.

Vrooommmm!!!!

Yesterday(Sunday) Kendric and Daddy went to a car show that Gary Crossley had and they had a good time. Kendric was in dire need of a nap so needless to say they did not stay long, but I think Ryan enjoyed it more than Kendric. It always seems like it is that way.

Best of all, Kendric got to spend some one on one with Daddy.

Our big 12 hour Adventure

If we can handle a 12 hour trip to Michigan with 2 children in the car, I think we are bound to handle anything. My sister got married on May 3 in Michigan.

Let me start by saying that on Friday morning around 2:00 we woke up to the wind sounding like a train was coming through our window, so we gathered the kids and went to the basement for about 15 mins. It was scary even more when you have children. We were lucky because about 2 miles from our house a tornado did touch down and damaged several homes.

After it was all done we left for Michigan around 330am, in the pouring rain for the next 12 hours. When we reached Illinois, it was still raining and the sky was dark so we knew a storm was coming, what we did not know is that 3 funnel clouds would touch ground and then go back up while we were driving in the car. At one point I was thinking how we going to keep everybody safe and all the situations of what can happen went through my head. It was really neat to watch them form fast and then go back up,but really scary as well.

We finally arrived and had a great time at rehersal, we were late of course, but I think we had a good excuse. The wedding was wonderful and we had a great time. Kendric and Cadence tried their best, but Cadence had enough and fell asleep while my mom was holding her down the asile and Kendric screamed so I had to hold him.

That is what makes it so memorable though. I cannot believe you are married Kristen. My little sister, wow!!! Mike is wonderful man and I wish all the best to both of you. I love you!!!
