potty training 1on1

So I am sure everybody knows that Kendric is very stubborn and will be 31/2 soon and is yet not potty trained. It is not becasue we chose not to,believe me we have tried and no luck.

On Monday though I said I had enough and decided we are no longer in diapers. I was thinking to myself, I am setting myself up for some messy times ahead and some frustration.

It is day 4 of underwear and we have not used the potty once, but he does not want to put a diaper on. It is a messy job,but I am bound and determined to accomplish it and I WILL!!! It may take a little tears and some baby steps, but it will get done. He actually sat on the potty today(2-26) and was happy about it. See, we are making progress.

Wish us luck as we take this adventure and we post tons of pics with his big boy underware when it is all said and done.

Elmo Live

We had another chance to take the kiddos to see Elmo live. We figured this could be the last chance to take them because who knows what they will be into next year. We really went for Cadence because she enjoys Elmo and all the characters, but I have to say Kendric sat still the whole time and watched intently. It was neat to see Cadence's face light up when Abby Gadabby and Zoe came out. It was just another moment as a parent that makes it all worth it.

Outside time in January

We had the one time chance to go outside on the last day of Jan. which is crazy. It reached the record high of 73 degrees. We were outside for about 3 hours that day. Who would not want to be? Just makes me want spring here alot sooner than it is suppose to be. Cabin fever has reached a high. Every chance we get, we escape outside. We do not get to that often in the winter months though. It was great.

I need to catch up

ok,

wow, I have really slacked in this department. our computer is down stairs and I do not spend a lot of time down there, so that could be some of t he reason. The other reasons, not sure. Not a whole lot different is going on in the clark house hold. A couple of weeks ago, we had the stomach flu monster visit us,but did not last very long. I 100% hate winter and that has a lot to do with it. Everybody is constanly sick with something.
We are still just enjoying our family time and savoring every moment of it. Time flies by so fast. Here it is already Febuary.
We are still trying to sell our house. I tend to get really anxious and uptight, but then realize that god has his hand on it and will bring the right person in the door when he finds them. We found a really great house for a great price and praying it will still be for sale when we sell our house. Yet again, god will provide the right house for us.
It is amazing what life holds and how so many things you just look over or do not pay attention to and then think back and really wish you payed more attention to details. I have learned to slow down and smell the roses a little bit more. You never know when life will end and wonder if you slowed down a little bit, what you have seen or done.
I have learned to read the bible more and focus on my faith and teach my children how important their faith is and do the right thing.

I guess all in all this is what has been going on behind the doors. Just more simple things and thinking and relishing in the moment, not thinking about tommorrow or the next day. Focusing on the now and what we have and to be happy wtih that. Not to have Envy, but be happy for those people and know that it could always be worse.

Ok, I guess I am finished with the sappy novel.
