Dad's 60th birthday

Today my dad turned the big 60. Happy birthday dad. You are such a great role model, father, husband brother and papa! You are wonderful and sincere and have the most tender heart with a little stubborness on the side.
You have showen such great emotion throughout the years and have done a wonderful job raising your 3 girls.
I love you and here is to another year of happiness.

We celebrated with Kendric and cadence blowing out the 60 candles that were on the cake and to see the smiles while they were singing happy birthday to papa was priceless. Kendric asked where papa's presents were so he could open them. Sorry buddy, your birthday is coming up soon.

Happy 2nd birthday to our little girl.

Well we actually got to celebrate Cadence's birthday on her actual birthday. She had been talking all morning about her birthday. She would roam around the house saying" my birthday party" I am not sure she knew exactally what a birthday was about, but when she looked at her birthday she got wide eyed and and said birthday cake for me. Even though they can be stessful to plan, each party is so meaningful in a sense that we are celebrating another year life of our children. It is amazing how time flies. I remember being pregnant and waiting anxiously for her arrival.
Cadence has amazed us in so many ways. SHe is talking more than Kendric ever did at 2 and is very smart and witty. Some of things she does just amazes us. She is so sweet and motherly like, but then she can be such a pistol at times.
Ryan and I so blessed to have such a wonderful little girl on our hands. Everytime I look at her I just cannot believe that she is a creation that Ryan and I made and that she is ours. I love the sweet kisses and hugs and cuddles that she gives us. I know there will be a day that she will not care to have those things or give them out,so I savor every moment that it happens.
Cadence you are so wonderful and daddy and I are so blessed to have you in our lives. We look forward to you growing up and being able to see all the milestones that are yet to come. We love you more than you will ever know. Happy Birthday little girl, we love you.

Potty Training

I never thought that it would happen, but Kendric is just about potty trained and almost being 4 that is a relief. It took some Nana patience and sterness and getting over the fear of peeing in the potty. He now comes and tells us when he has to go and goes all my himself. I guess when it clicked it clicked. He does not have pooping down yet,but that will come. I am not worried about it all.
Thank you so much mom for all your hard work and dedication of sitting in the bathroom for over an hour until Kendric went potty. You have been such a great help. I was out of options and if you could not help, I was taking him to somebody to be evaluated. You are such a blessing and an AWSOME nana to my children. It has been a stressful, but yet deserving week with the potty training. It was sad when he was screaming because he did not want to go,but I was almost crying with happiness when he came to me and said " mommy, I went potty all my self in the potty and did not pee on my underwear." He has gotten a new movie, a spiderman shirt and new underwear as some of the prizes. He now goes potty and does not expect anything anymore.
Way to go my big boy. Such a huge milestone.

Wedding and trip to Ohio

We always take a annual trip to Ohio to visit my parents every summer and this year we had a wedding in Illnois this year and then we headed to Ohio. WE always enjoy our time we spend with my family. We went to the park one day and then shopping another day and then to a small water park at a family center by our parents house. Kendric has become quite the swimmer. I did not sign him up for swim lessons this year becasue I knew it would be what it always is every year so I figured with having a neighborhood pool this year he could swim then. Well today we went to the pool and he amazed me. He was going under the water and paddleing across the water. He has become a fish. He stayed in the water the whole time we were there with the exception of adult swim for 30 mins. He is growing up so fast. I just cannot believe he will be 4. Where does time go? I am trying to cherish every moment these days because I know one day they will not want to have anything to do with me. I love them so much. Everytime Kendric comes up and says "I love you mommy" I just want to cry because it just touches my heart so much.
Awwww... Anyway, we have so much help when we go to Ohio. I have not given the kids baths since we have been here and I have a chance to read or sit or watch a movit and know my kids are taken care of. It is nice just to be home and spend time with my sisters and their husbands and husbands to be. I think we have extended our stay one more day because we are having so much fun. My parents will be leaving on Thursday for Liberty to come see our new house and for Cadence's 2nd bday.
The joys of summer traveling.

Crash and Burn

Cadence has had a cold that started last week sometime and she is on road to recovery. We have had some rough nights with not her not sleeping and one morning Ryan let me sleep in and I came down the stairs and saw her sleeping on the bottom. It was very funny, but yet sad because she has lost so much sleep. She was there for about an half hour or so.
She loves having tea party and she decided to put on her chef hat and have on. I later joined her.

Dave Matthews dancing

I am huge fan of Dave Matthews and he was on the today show last Friday and of course I turned it up really loud and started singing. Next thing I know Kendric had 2 tutu's in his hand that he got from the playroom and he put one one and gave on to Cadence to put on and started dancing and spinning around. I loved watching it. I started dancing along with them. I love watching them use their imagination and to know to do that. Awsome times!!
