If I could.....

Ever since the earthquack in Haiti struck, I have felt so compelled to help out all those in need. it is just tragic. I could not imagine having one of my family members missing or stuck under a peice of rubbal, or dead. I told myself I was not going to be obessed in watching t he news about it,but always finding myself watching it.
 The whole time I am thinking, if I was in a different place in my life and did not have a family that means everything to me, I would fly to Haiti and help out in every way I could. Mission work has been coming up in our family and is weighing heavy on our hearts,but I cannot imagine bringing  my 2 little kids to a third world country. I have also really been thinking about adopting a child from a country where things are just awful,but then again not sure we are in the right place right now.
  All these things are just things we are thinking about,not really going to do them at this  time. Maybe in the future when our kids are older and can understand why we are going or doing them.
I watched the telethon last night and I did make a contribution. I watched such  a wonderful presentaion of Justin Timberlake and Matt Norris singing click on
 hallelujah. So so touching. I got tears in my eyes for sure.
Please continue to pray for all the lives that have been affected by this event.

Go away bug

I know winter season is a magnet for illness and every year I fear of my family getting some thing. I do not  mind colds or a cough or a little bug, BUT I DO MIND THE STOMACH FLU!! Well it hit the family again this year.  I such a germ freak and wipe down the grocery cart and use santizer alll the time, my kids take vitamins and I take them as well and I clean ours toys daily and they are put in the dishwasher weekly,but I know things just happen, but come on. Cadence vomited for 24 hours and I thought we were going to have to rush her to the ER, but she is slowly recovering and then Kendric only vomited a couple of times and was fine. I got  a little bit or it and then Ryan got it. We are slowly recovering,but I hate when my family gets an illness.
Since I run a daycare in home, there are more germs than a household should have, so we are more likely to contract a virus faster, but after calling the doctor, she said that the virus is hitting pretty heavy in kids and schools right now, so BEWARE!!! That is why I am behind some posts. Ihave had other things to take care of.
   I just hope this is the end of this ugly nasty bug until NEVER!
Anyway I am glad it is over and am glad to get back to normal activites(kind of) still laying low because I do not feel 100% and Cadence is still not herself. It is cleaning time for me.

How much longer is it goint to last?

This is one of the 3 blankets(froggies) as Kendric calls them. He has had these since the day he was born and not sure how old he will be when he decides to give them up. I just wanted to post how this one is falling apart and I am going to have sew the ends together to keep it together. These have been through so much and will be there through much more. I have this slight feeling that Kendric is going to try to sneak them in his schoolbag when it is time for Kindergarten. He keeps them here when he goes to preschool,but not sure about Kindergarten. We have a year to talk about it.

We had to do something

Yesterday my kids were going crazy. I really did not want to go somewhere and be stuck in the middle of the snow storm,but my neighbor called and asked if we wanted to go to Liberty Middle School and run around in the hallways and in the library. (she is the head librarian) I jumped on it and it was starting to snow a little so I knew we would not there long, but it helped get some energy out of the energizer bunnies.

It is time to say goodbye.... to my sweet dear grandma

My sweet dear grandmother just lost her battle with leukemia. She lived almost a year after getting a 6 months to live diagnosis.

 She put up a good fight and I wish I could have gone and seen her more. I hate losses like this. I knew this was going to happen one day and was preparing myself for it,BUT when it really happens, you are still so shocked and sad.

  My mom had just finished visiting us on Sat and the next day was on a plane to see my grandma because my grandma had said she wanted her daughter there. my mom arrived at 1230 and went to see her at 115 today and at 800 tonight she went to be with the lord. I know she is not suffering now,but I just want her to come back.

  She was the last of my grandparents that was still alive.

  I love you my sweet grandmother and I hope to be with you one day and will give you such a big hug and my usual kiss on the cheek.

  RIP.

Snow, Snow and more snow

I am all about snow and do not mind it,but when it has snowed and snowed off and on for a week makes me want to scream. I am tired of shoveling the driveway and hate being in the house and unable to go anywhere because of the snow.( I am going to venture out somewhere today, location to be dertermined.) I am ready for Spring and I know it is months away.
  We would go out and play in it,but it is so darn cold that I do not want the kids playing outside nor do I want to be outside.
 I guess we will play wii and I will do some house cleaning and organizing.
