Halloween Party Day 2: Get Crafty
Part 2 of the SITS Halloween giveway.
I have to be honest and say I am not sure I have made anything for halloween. I do not have one crafty bone in my body. I so wish I did, and maybe if I stuck with something long enought I would figure out how to do it,but I think I made chili one year for halloween when it just my husband and I. Pretty lame!
I hope this gets better soon. Therefore I have no pictures to share with this one.
Boo!

Halloween memory
For some reason this one stands out. Everytime I look at the picture I think of when she fell out in the driveway the day before and how much she screamed. Everytime I looked at it I just wanted to kiss it all over. She still was the cutest little injured cat.

weekend recap
I hope everybody had a great weekend. We did they are just never long enough. Ugg!
Sat morning the whole family ran some errands and then Ryan and Kendric went to his football game, while the girls stayed home and napped. Awww!
After nap I took the kids to our neighbors birthday party, who is also Kendric's girlfriend. It was at postivity gymnastics and that is neat place. I signed Cadence up for tumbling, but then Kaelis decided to arrive so we will start again in the next week. The kids had a blast and the employees ran the whole party and the parents sat and chatted. Awsome party that way.
Sat. night we had our weekly firepit party with neighbors. we love doing this. Next week we are doing it for Halloween and getting the kids involved this time. Should be fun.
Sunday was church and relaxing and getting ready for the work week.

The Kid in me...
When these arrive in the mail I get giddy, instead of letting my 3 year old daughter look at them first,I hoog them to look at them. Wierd? Some people may think these dolls are freakish because of the eyes and they always look at you. Yes, I can see that, but I LOVE THEM. I want to get one for Cadence really bad just so I can play with them with her. I love all the acessories that come with them and the furniture.

I love this. This could be hours of fun,but I would be broke. These things are not cheap. Yikes. I want to get a biddy baby for my daughter who is 3. Worth the money, or stick to cheap dolls. What do you think? Either way, I would love to have all the acessories.
Not sure I would pay $20 for something a doll cannot play with, but I Friday, October 22, 2010
5Q Friday
. Who is the better cook, you or your spouse?
Well, since I have never seen my husband cook in the 6 years we have married, I would say I am the better cook!
2. How often do you talk to your mom?
Everyday or every other day. My mom have a very close relationship
and she lives 600 miles away. It is hard to be that far away from her. I would
love to just call her up and ask her to go shopping or watch the kids for me.
I need to talk to her this much to keep me involved. My wish one day is to
be in the same state as she is in.
3. Are you adventurous in the kitchen or stick to the recipe?
I stick to the recipe because I am not a very good cook and
do not trust myself one bit. Sometimes I even mess up the recipe..
Yikes!
4. Is your second toe longer than your big toe?
No,I had to look, I never pay attention to it. Sad, I know
5. Do you dress up for Halloween? (Bonus question: What will you be this year?)
I do not dress up Halloween. I have not really been into that. Not even costume parties. Am I a Halloween scrooge? I usually just dress up as a mom. I know boring. My kids do not seem to mind though. i would dress up if I had to or my kids wanted me to.

AGAIN.......
I have a ear infection. YES, at thirty something I have my 3rd ear infection in 6 months. I have so much more sympathy now for kids who get ear infections. They are so painful and I could not sleep. Good thing I was taking motrin. That is the only thing that got me through the night.
I went to the doctor and she could not believe how yucky my ear looked. I had an inner and middle infection in one ear. Soooo... I am going to take a trip to the Ear nose and throat doctor! Seriously, they are going to laugh at me when I walk in. My fear is they mention tubes. LOL!! It could happen. Can you imagine an adult walking in for tubes because of ear infections. Wow!
I am on very strong meds right now and I feel improvment, just not 100% yet.
By the way, I never had 1 ear infection throughout my childhood. Funny huh?

our weekend
For the most part our weekend was relaxed. We decided to go to Ryan's grandparents farm in Milan Missouri. Tiny, tiny town in Missouri. I always wonder what the kids did in such small towns. I am very much a city girl. I am so used to going to less than 10 miles to a mall or to a store, but the nearest Walmart close to Milan is in Kirksville Missouri, which is 45 mins or more away. I could not imagine, but when you grow up in such a small town, you are use to things being far away. Ok, wow, that was starting to be a post about small towns and cities. I will save that post for later. Back to the subject.
Ryan's grandfather is 92 and has had little strokes here and there and is basically ready to meet Jesus. We decided we needed to get as many visits in as possible before that time comes.
It was a very pleasant visit. I have to say it is nice to sit on the porch and look out and just see cows and fields and not worry about extremely fasts cars going down the parkway behind your house or the smell of factory air,but the smell of cow poop. The kids had a blast. They got to help Uncle Shane feed the cows and they got to pet a Hen that just walks around.
Kendric's favorite part was peeing behind the house. We told him this should never happen anywhere, but the farm! LOL!
Cadence had a real attachment to Uncle Shane. Not sure what it was,but everywhere that Uncle Shane went,Cadence was sure to go. It was the cutest thing.
It was very nice to relax and not worry about anything. It was a beautiful day to go.
We are going again for Thanksgiving.
That was our Sat. We came home and went to bed.
Sun of course we went church and then came home to watch football, but was not the day for our teams. Boo! We just relaxed.
On a Sidenote: I trasferred Kaelis to her crib last night and she only got up once. Yipee! Lets hope she sleeps through the night soon. I hated to move her away from my side, but she was growing out of the bassinett quickly. She had no room to move. Tears! getting big already.
Hope your weekend was great.

5QFriday
1. What is your favorite Halloween candy?
I am not a big chocolate fan, so I go the gummy stuff and chewy stuff. I will grab a snickers though. I have to buy the Candy last minute, otherwise it will be gone before I have to pass it out.
2. Do you fold your socks?
I try to fold my socks, but I hate folding laundry so by the time I get to the pile of socks, I quickly find the match and throw them in the drawers, but I try to fold them because we lose socks like crazy.
3. What is something that you wish you had been warned about?
How much patience I would need when I became a parent. I am not a patient person, but I am learning that I have to be with 3 children. I always tell them they have to be patient, so I need to be the good example and be patient as well. It is very hard sometimes. Another one is, how Credit cards are yucky and you do not need them and if you do not have the cash to pay for something, then you will have not have it for a CC. I DESPISE THEM NOW!!
4. What is the most significant difference between you and your significant other?
Oh my, I could write a novel about this. We are so different, but I think that is why we fit each other.
I am a very social person and love to plan events.
He is a home body and unless he knows you very well, he has a hard time with social events. I always make him go, he is never happy with this decision.
I am somewhat organized, I have gotten less since having kids.
He is very organized, and notices if something is out of place. I guess this is a good quality, I just get very annoyed because I am jealous of this. All his shirts are nicely folded in the drawer, mine, just thrown in. All hi s socks UNFOLDED,but stacked in a neat pile, mine, just thrown in.
Geesh, what is wrong with me.
I do not mind change, he hates it
5. What are three words you would use to describe yourself
This is a hard one,
Christian
Maternal
Strong willed
could not get a hold of my hubby, I am scared what he would say though!

3 week checkup and random pictures
Kaelis had her 3 week old check up today. She weighs 8 13( she weighed 8 1 when she was born) and has growen a inch, everything looks great. She is awake more and more alert now. She is getting so big already. It makes sad knowing this will be our last newborn. Yes, 100% for sure about that. I am cherishing every little moment with her right now.
I love the little movements she makes and this morning I was getting her dressed and I was talking to her and she gave the biggest grin. As much as I would like to think it was because I was talking to her, I know it was just perfect timing. It was soo cute.
I just cannot believe that she will be a month old next Tuesday. That is crazy.
We are all adjusting well. We have our chaos moments and have to let somebody scream for a min or two,but all in all we are doing great.

A shout out for my good friend Emily
I just wanted to give a yippee and congrats to my friend Emily for running and finishing the Chicago Marathon this past Sunday. I could not even imagine running a half let alone a full one. This is such a great accomplishment. Great job Emily! (She is the one in blue) Her friend Amy also ran with her. Kuddos to her as well.

weekend recap
We had a fairly busy Saturday. My mom was still in town so I was enjoying her last day here. My in laws also came on Sat for a visit. My Brother in law and mother in law had not met Kaelis yet so they came to see her and we they joined us for Kendric's football game and then the pumpkin patch afterwards. It was a great visit. They left the pumpkin patch early to drive back to Columbia, but we stayed for a little while longer and then at Kendric's request we ate dinner at Red Robbin.
We all so exhausted that we went home bathed and went to bed.
Sunday morning Ryan took my mom to the airport (Sadness) and then came home and we all got ready to go to church. Of course now, we rush home to watch football after church, but that is fine, especially when it is freezing out, which is soon to come.
Overall it was a great weekend, just not LONG enough. Why o why do the weekends have to fly by,but I feel like the weeks never end.
All the cousins, (Kaelis is in the stroller in the back.) Seriously, poor Kendric with all girl cousins and 2 sisters. He really needs a boy cousin! hint hint to my Brother and sister in law.
